SPEEDHEAT Instant Water Heater.
The new unit has a stainless steel covered element and are suited for
all water conditions. The unit are tested and approved to EU Standards
IEEC 335-1, IEEC 335-2-35 and BS EN 335-1:1988.

COST EFFECTIVENESS OF SPEEDHEAT vs. ELECTRIC BOILER
Current cost of electricity: * R0.28 kW. / Hr. (Cost vary in different areas)
Example:
Using a 5 kW unit, for a family of 6, each showering for 5 minutes a
day - R 21.00 per month
(R0.28 / 60min) x 5kw x 6People x 5min = R0.70 / day = R 21.00 per month.
Electric boiler:
- Standard heat loss on a 150 liters boiler = 0.4watts per liter + 60 watts
- Hourly cost to maintain temperature = (0.4w x 150 liter)+ 60w = 120w
- Monthly loss just to maintain water temperature (no usage) = R 24.53
NOTE : Other costs not included in above calculation using a standard geyser, is the distance from the geyser to the point of use. Hot water in the pipes cools down every time the hot water is used.
These units are cost effective in terms of initial layout and monthly cost to maintain compared to a standard geyser.
Standard geysers consumes upto 5 times more electricity.
